Advanced Joins Fellow IT Leaders at CIO Synergy Summit

by Gordon Wilson, Chairman, OneAdvanced

Dallas, Texas and New York, New York – (January 15, 2020) — Advanced today announced its executives will attend the CIO Synergy Summit in New York City on January 23. The annual event includes a full day of panels, keynotes, and networking between an exclusive group of IT industry thought-leaders, and is specifically geared towards the business-critical CIO.

This year’s theme will focus on what CIOs foresee for 2020 and how they are preparing for the future. As part of the discussion, Advanced and additional attendees will hear more about the clear and present danger today’s enterprises face, competitive marketplace conditions, and the growing influence of technology and digital transformation on organisations.

“While the industry clearly understands how critical it has become to remain agile and modernised in the digital world, not all have realised how important application modernisation of legacy systems is as a first step in that process,” said Brandon Edenfield, Managing Director of Application Modernization at Advanced.  “We look forward to hearing firsthand what trends are top of mind of CIOs today and beyond, including how IT leaders are embracing digital, and which hurdles we can help them overcome when it comes to modernisation as a part of a larger digital transformation approach.”

According to Advanced’s Annual Trends Report 2019/2020, the application modernisation market is projected to reach $16.7 billion by 2022, with nearly 50 percent of decision makers planning to prioritize application modernisation technology next year. Almost half of the CIOs surveyed for the report agreed that the biggest barrier to modernising processes or systems is cost – a barrier that might pose detrimental in the future – and Advanced is working to help change that narrative with customers.

“While failing to modernise systems for many today is simply not an option, our belief is that modernisation and legacy transformation should be treated as an incremental journey,” continued Edenfield. “The organisations who leverage our proven solutions and processes can move along this journey at their own pace in an individualised manner suited to their unique IT environment, industry and business and technical requirements.”
